Build It Right. In Both Languages.
Most people don't realize how much coordination goes into a renovation in Puerto Rico — permits, local suppliers, Spanish-speaking crews. Getting it wrong costs more than the original quote.
Coqui Contracting Group is Puerto Rico's bilingual licensed contractor — English for you, Spanish with the team. Desiree Negron leads every project with the precision and communication you expect, and the local expertise you need.
No cost · No obligation · We come to you
What you get with every estimate:
- Free on-site visit — no charge, no obligation
- Clear, itemized written estimate
- Real timeline — not a guess
- Licensed contractor documentation available
Renovating in Puerto Rico Takes More Than a Contractor
The island has different permit processes, supplier networks, and construction norms. Without the right guide, projects slow down, budgets slip, and communication breaks down.
The permit process catches people off guard
ARPE permits, municipal requirements, and inspection coordination are unfamiliar territory if you're new to Puerto Rico construction. Skipping them costs far more later.
We handle all permits and compliance documentation as part of every project.
Managing crews in a different language adds friction
Most quality tradespeople in Puerto Rico work in Spanish. Without a bilingual point of contact, details get lost, timelines slip, and you're left guessing.
Desiree bridges the gap — English with you, Spanish with the team, every day.
How do you oversee a project from the mainland?
Second-home and STR owners often need to manage renovations remotely. Without a trusted local partner who communicates clearly, it's nearly impossible to stay in control.
Regular written updates, documented decisions, and one trusted contact throughout.
Led by Desiree Negron
Puerto Rico's bilingual contractor, from the inside out.
We work with homeowners, property investors, STR owners, and commercial clients — anyone who needs licensed craftsmanship, transparent pricing, and a contractor who communicates clearly from first call to final walkthrough.

Licensed Contractor · Puerto Rico · Woman-Owned
"I started Coqui Contracting because I watched too many homeowners — especially people new to Puerto Rico — get burned by contractors who couldn't communicate clearly or weren't properly licensed. I built this company to be the bridge: licensed, bilingual, and accountable from estimate to walkthrough."
